Cahuita National Park
Cahuita National Park is one of the first national parks Costa Rica had. Although not very extensive, it does cover a large area of coastline and tropical forests ranging from the cozy little coastal town of Cahuita past Punta Cahuita to Puerto Vargas Vargas, the South East end of the park. Apart from the terrestrial extension, Cahuita is very important and protects a large portion of ocean, within which lays the important Cahuita coral reef, the largest coral reef in Costa Rica. Famous for its crystal clear waters and abundant marine life, it is one of the sites with the most paradisiacal beaches of Costa Rica. In the cozy Caribbean town and surrounding we offer many lodging options, from luxury hotels to budget hostels. We also have many terrestrial and marine tours going deep into the park and around.
