Playa Cocles Beach Costa Rica
Cocles Beach is located in the province of Talamanca, just half a mile south of Puerto Viejo de Limon. The entire South Caribbean is particularly beautiful, charming and different. Afro Caribbean culture mixes with foreigners, indigenous traditions and culture and other cultural and ethnic influences. The music, art, food and lifestyle in this region is unique, laid back and easy going. Cocles Beach is the largest and longest beach of the area called Puerto Viejo. Well known among surfers, the entire beach is extremely scenic and beautiful, with beautiful light brown sand, palm trees, and tropical rainforests bordering the strip of sand. There are around 5 – 10 lodges and smaller hotels distributed throughout the entire length of the beach, and you can also easily visit Cocles by walking south from Puerto Viejo, a stroll that will only take around 15 minutes. The South Caribbean can be visited combining Tortuguero, Arenal or any other destination. We usually send your clients to Puerto Viejo, or combine Cahuita or Puerto Viejo with a trip or package to the islands of Bocas del Toro, in Panama.
