Costa Rica family vacations
If you are thinking of a family trip to Costa Rica, the planning of the trip should be a bit more detailed. For example, you might want to include tours that focus more on soft adventure and nature tours that do not involve too much of strong adventure, like rafting, canyoning, zip lining, or trekking. However, children can still enjoy soft rafting perhaps the Corobici River Class 1 – 2 , or horseback riding, or hanging bridges, boat tours and much more. Also, some destination are also not suggested for both elderly and families with children. Some of the destinations we do not recommend are trekking to Mount Chirripo, trekking throughout the Osa Peninsula, whitewater rafting above Class 2, canyoning or canyoneering, zip lines or canopy tours, scuba diving, kayaking or hard trekking and hiking trips that request some finical level. However, there a great trips that are ideal for both elderly, physically challenged or children. These include canoeing trips and boat safaris, horseback riding ( request very tame horses for the children although this is usually automatically done by the guides ), guided national park tours ( should not exceed 4 hours if children are with you ), snorkeling, wildlife trips, guided night tours, aerial trams, hanging bridges, ocean kayaking, surf lessons ( in a beach where waves are not that strong ) and much more. Many of our trips also have an extra focus on educational, which means that not only will children enjoy the tour, they will actually learn something while enjoying it.
