Costa Rica rainforest national parks
Some of the most interesting and important national parks and tropical rainforests include Tortuguero rainforest and national park, Corcovado National park and rainforest, Carara, Braulio Carrillo, Monteverde and Santa Elena, Cano Negro, La Amistad, Chirripo, Hitoy Cerere, Santa Rosa, Guanacaste and Rincon de la Vieja, Carara and Piedras Blancas. The endless tropical rainforests of the Corcovado National Park are among the world`s most incredible and rich tropical lowland rainforests. The park has a large variety of species of flora and fauna, including wildlife species such as Tapir, Jaguar, ocelot, Crocodiles, Harpy Eagle, Monkes, Deer, Wild Boat, Pecaries and so much more. Tortuguero National Park on the Caribbean Coast is equally important. The tropical forests are habitat to Tapir, Jaguar, reptiles, amphibians, birds, insects and mammals. It natural canals and estuaries protect endangered species of wildlife too, such as the Manatee, crocodiles, Saw Fish and much more. If you are interested in tropical rainforests, I highly recommend to visit: Corcovado, Osa Peninsula in general, the Tortuguero National Park, La Amistad, Hitoy Cerere, Barbilla, Lomas Barbudal, Cahuita, Gandoca Manzanillo, Carara, Braulio Carrillo,Manuel Antonio and Piedras Blancas. If you want to Cloud Forests, Los Quetzales National Park , Poas Volcano and Monteverde and Santa Elena Reserves are among the best places to see this unique ecosystems and wildlife hábitats. If you wish to see tropical dry forests, then you have to visit Guanacaste National Park, Rincon de la Vieja, Santa Rosa National Park, Lomas Barbudal, Barra Honda National Park , Palo Verde and Curu. If you main interest is to see wetlands , mangroves or estuaries, then Cano Negro, Palo Verde, and the National Mangrove Forest of Terraba-Sierpe are the best places to go.
