Ocotal Costa Rica
Ocotal beach is located in northern Guanacaste, south of El Coco Beach or Playas del Coco and North of Bahia Pez Vela and Punta Gorda, which is a portion of land that divides the beaches of Papagayo from the beaches of the county of Santa Cruz, including Tamarindo, Potrero, Flamingo, Conchal and those even further south. Ocotal is a very black sanded beach, with abundant rocky pinnacles both left and right. The rocks are great for those interested in snorkeling, and some natural pools form during low tide, in which a child could perfectly learn how to snorkel and discover the fascinating world underwater. Ocotal is also famous for sport fishing and scuba diving, Ocotal beach resort, located on a cliff overlooking the ocean, has its own fleet of fishing boats and its own scuba diving center, with all the equipment available. Tours including diving Murcielago Islands and Catalina Islands. Ocotal is located only 5 minutes from El Coco, a cozy beach community, where abundant bars, souvenirs shops and restaurants are found.
