Rainforest Aerial Tram
The Rainforest Aerial Tram is located near the vast and unexplored Braulio Carrillo National Park, an extensive national park that protects nearly 50,000 acres of tropical cloudy and rainy forests. The Aerial Tram is located just 1 hour and 15 minutes from the city of San Jose, and it is perfect to combine with a trip to the Tortuguero area, Southern Caribbean (Puerto Viejo or Cahuita) or even when driving to Sarapiqui. There are several miles of cable tram sections at the height of the treetops, from where you can see abundant tropical flora and occasional fauna, especially several species of birds, monkeys, other mammals, reptiles and amphibians. The tour includes transportation from San José and lunch, or we can pass and visit the tram on the way to the Caribbean plains. The project also protects several hundreds of hectares of virgin tropical forests.
