We were very pleased with the services, communications, arrangements for accommodations, meals and excursions, the fair prices and the individual attention to our needs provided by Christian Valenzuela of Costa Rica Exotica Natural. In particular, we are grateful that he hired Alex Chavarria to drive and guide us for the final 8 days of our trip. Alex became a true friend of the Jaffe Family. The final portion of our journey involved a visit to Jabilla, where our daughter lives and works as a volunteer English teacher under the auspices of World Teach. Alex drove through unbridged streams and over unmarked, one-lane dirt roads that are poor, even by the most primitive rural Costa Rican standards, to get us to Jabilla, which doesn’t even appear on most maps of the country. It took 2 hours to travel 31 km, despite the fact that he never made a single wrong turn! Alex drove and guided us with great skill and good cheer, and helped us communicate with our daughter’s host family and co-workers and many of the adults and children who live in the town. We could never have driven this on our own; The trip would have been absolutely impossible without him. We are happy to recommend Costa Rica Exotica Natural, Christian Valenzuela and Alex Chavarria to everyone. In particular, we will specifically recommend C.R.E.N. to Worl Teach as an excellent travel agent to help families visit their volunteers in remote locations throughout the country.

Here are few comments:

Arenal: The Volcano Lodge was great, and the Eco Terminales was just excellent. I am very glad to know that it is a family owned operation, and the food was very good as well. I enjoyed the beautiful arrangement with the hot springs, very special. Cano Negro tour was very very good. The guide was excellent, and the wildlife was exciting to see. I recommend this tour.

Monteverde: we loved the Cloud Forest, and Selvatura canopy tours was excellent!! We appreciated the care and attention they took for everyone. We had a very good time there. Hotel Establo was not our style. To big, too many people, and not very personal. The Tico's were very nice, as usual. Next time, we would like to consider another place, perhaps the "Belmar" or Heliconia. I would recommend the women's co-op to anyone who visits...this was special.

Manual Antonio: This was incredible as well. La Casita Eclipse was perfect. Thank you for getting the place 104. A whole family of white faced monkeys came to see us as soon as we arrived. This was a beautiful place, very international, and people lovely. I would stay here again for sure. The Manual Antonio national park was excellent. And the Damas Island Kayaking was so great! I do recommend that people need to be in pretty good physical condition to do this. The guide was telling us some stories of very unfit (too heavy, too old, or too young) poeple for the tour, which makes it rough on the guide. It is some work, but, great fun. The guide was excellent.

Ronald: Ronald was a highlight on our trip! Every day we looked forward to seeing him, and we could not have had a more special person to be with us. He was excellent in every way. He showed us so many different things about the country, and made this trip very special. I would highly recommend him to any other travelers that need this arrangement.

Thanks again for arranging this memorable trip. I was so impressed with how Costa Rica trys to take care of it's animals, and trees. The people were very nice. I enjoyed to food. I will be happy to share our experience, and your tour company with others.

Arenal was OK but it was raining during our visit to the crater, so we only saw our own umbrellas and our feet, but I guess this is part of nature. Everything else was GREAT.
