is a unique Lodge offering the visitor
an experience never to be forgotten.
Ciudad Perdida, surrounded by tropical
forests, exotic gardens and lush
vegetation, also contributed to
the conservation of local culture
and building style, enhancing the
local scenery and atmosphere.
The lodge is very close to the
main entrance of the national park,
and just a few steps away from downtown
Cahuita, a cozy and easy-going Caribbean
seashore town.
The Lodge
Ciudad Perdidad offers the visitors
manicured and exotic gardens, surrounded
by tropical vegetation both of the
private ground and also by the Cahuita
National Park rainforests, with
which we border.
We also offer a beautiful restaurant,
where breakfasts is served daily
by our friendly Costa Rican staff.
The rooms
This Project is part of the expansion
program of Cahuita Tours, that has
more than 25 years experience working
in the tourism sector with excellent
results. It began with thanks to
a graduation project of one of our
inicial partners, the Mora-Streber
family, as an Ecolodge Design Proposal
for the culmination of the University
of Costa Rica´s ecotourism
course.
The Project focuses on the Caribbean
architecture, using an English-Victorian
style, typical of the Caribean.
The wood used is from a forest plantation,
assuring the construction does not
contribute to the indiscriminate
destruction of the native forest.
The houses, with a Victorian English
design, represent the original Caribbean
architecture and they are equipped
to make your stay a pleasant and
confortable experience!
Standard Rooms
The two bungalows are both 64 m2
(214 square feet), consisting of
two rooms each with two doble beds,
private bathrooms with hot water,
AC, ceiling fan, refrigerador, security
box, a clothing cabinet, lamp and
night tables, coffeemaker, garden
chairs, private parking space, private
garden, terrace, hammocks, and potable
water from the AyA (Acueductos y
Alcantarillados, Costa Rica´s
Water Institute).
Breakfast is included for double
occupancy. Any additional guests
pays $15 plus taxes and breakfast.
House with two rooms and kitchenette
This home is an area of 80 m2 (265
feet) with 2 rooms, equipped with
1 full bed, 1 sofa bed, security
box, lamps and night tables, security
box, a clothes cabinet, kitchen
with gas stove, refrigerator, kitchen
sink, all necessary cutlery, (complete
with pots, pans, plates and glasses
for 8 people), coffeemaker, dining
room with 4 wicker chairs, air conditioning,
ceiling fan, hammocks, living room
wicker chairs, garden chairs, a
terrace, 2 private bathrooms with
hot water, a bug repellent light,
private parking space, private garden,
and potable water from the AyA (Acueductos
y Alcantarillados, Costa Rica´s
Water Institute).
Breakfast is included for double
occupancy. Any additional guests
pays $15 plus taxes and breakfast.
Houses with 1 Room
This home is 46 m2 (154 square feet)
has 2 rooms and comes equipped with
1 full bed, 1 twin bed (nest type
with the capacity to convert into
two twin beds), lamps and night
tables, a clothes cabinet, a kitchen
with gas store, refrigerador, kitchen
sink, all necessary cutlery (complete
with pots, pans, plates and glasses
for 4 people), coffee maker, breakfast
area with 4 chairs, security box,
AC, ceiling fan, hammocks, sofa,
living room set with wicker chairs,
garden chairs, private bathroom
with hot water, bug repellent Light,
private parking space, private garden,
and potable tap water from the AyA
(Acueductos y Alcantarillados, Costa
Rica´s Water Institute.) One
of these homes also comes with a
Jacuzzi in the garden.
