by the crystal clear waters of the
Costa Rican Caribbean. A lovely lodge
of 10 houses build in the most authentic
Caribbean style, respecting the environment
and integrating perfectly in the idyllic
landscape. Peace and nature become
one, offering the visitor the experience
of truly special and unforgettable
days.
Located at the heart of Cahuita´s
National Park, each house has its
own private garden, 1.000 m2 to enjoy
and all the necessary services: bathroom,
fully equipped kitchen, 2 double rooms,
dinnig room and living room. The white
sand beaches that surround Cahuita
are the perfect match for an unforgettable
stay. The village of Cahuita, 200
meters away from the resort, has all
the services of a small city: restaurants,
hospital, supermarkets, cafes, etc.
Cahuita Town
Home to a mix of cultures, this community
features varied local and international
cuisine and all kinds of facilities
for touring the National Park located
here. Companies offer tours to the
reef and to other parts of Talamanca
and the surrounding area. Places for
enjoying music are also available.
Cahuita National Park
General information
Cahuita National Park involves 1,067.9
hectares of continental area, 600
hectares of coral reef area and 22.400
hectares of marine area.
It protects one of the country’s
most important reefs and the Caribbean
coast’s most developed reef.
Within the Park, there are also important
sections of wetlands and swamps, mostly
dominated by the Royal palm and the
swamp wood.
The golden-sand beaches bordering
the coastal area of the Park are extraordinarily
beautiful.

Coral reef
You can find 35 species of coral,
being the most common ones: Agaricia
agaricites, Siderastrea radians and
Porites porites.
More than 300 species of mollusks,
lobsters, three species of turtles
and thousands of colorful fish such
as: the French Angel, Holocanthus
isabelita, and Queen Angel fish.
According to the
Environmental Organic Law, where it
stipulates that civil society must
be incorporated in the planning and
development of Cahuita National Park,
the Cahuita National Park Management
Committee was created as a body by
executive decree, to share the decision-making
process with the State and civil society,
and have a series of functions besides
regulating the services and activities
developed within this protected wildlife
area.
Regulations
* Fire guns are not allowed in the
Park.
* You must not collect plants or animals
within the Park’s limits.
* Do not hunt, hurt or disturb animals.
* Any pollutant is completely prohibited.
* Do not exceed the 25 KPH speed limits.
* Pets of any kind or size are strictly
forbidden.
* Campfires are allowed only at designated
grilling areas.
* Use only lines and hooks for fishing.
Any other technique is prohibited.
* Personal belongings are your sole
responsibility.
* Keep out of the areas signed as
dangerous for swimming.
* Garbage is not part of the environment;
please place it in the provided receptacles
or take it back.
