Our beach hotel
is located one and a half hours
away from the International Liberia
Airport in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
The Iguanazul is
located in the northern province
of Guanacaste, on the Nicoya Peninsula
at Playa Junquillal, 35km south
of Tamarindo, over a cliff right
in front of the ocean, a quiet place
where you can enjoy of a white sand
almost deserted beach, world class
surf breaks great snorkle, spectacular
sunsets and more. ! Our nearby beaches
are all pristine and you can walk
virtually undisturbed for hours
and hours.
The rooms
Our hotel offers 24 rooms 10 of
them with a/c, divided into 6 Spanish
colonial style buildings, all with
two double size beds, spacious bathroom
with hot water. We also offer 7
Condos and one House for rent all
completely furnished and equipped,

we offer, laundry service, security
safe boxes in every room, gourmet
restaurant (open from 6:30 am till
10:00 pm), entertainment room (air
conditioned tv room with Satellite
DirecTV, pool table, ping pong),
we also have a sand volleyball court,
International direct or collect
calls, etc. Our restaurant is the
most popular in the area and we
have a daily Happy Hour where locals
and travelers get together to see
the amazing sunsets and share their
adventures., Our staff is happy
to arrange just about any sort of
activity or tour.
This is the ideal
"base" spot for an adventurous
and relaxing vacation. We're close
to Rincon de la Vieja National Park
which offers canopy tours, a volcano,
mudbaths, waterfalls and lots of
wildlife. Then you can come back
to the "barefoot luxury"
of the Iguanazul.
From San José take the Panamerican
Highway (CA1) north towards Liberia.
You can either get to the Iguanazul
by travelling through Liberia (arround
5 hours) or going by way of the
New "La Amistad" bridge
which is the faster way to Hotel
Iguanazul, this will take you about
3.5 hours from San José.
