Discover Nosara, the jewel of Guanacaste. A place secluded from massive tourism, as it just happens in other areas of the country, where flora and fauna are intact because Guanacaste beaches and 200 meters of the costal zone are specially protected by the "Ostional National Wildlife Refuge".

Here, you can take pleasure from the most spectacular sunsets blended with a very few clouds on the sky, distinguished by very special contrasting colors. Extensive white sanded beaches, with their calm waves, invite you to swim. No other place in the Province of Guanacaste has such a variety of animals safeguarded by protection measures. Thus, when you take a walk along the trails of the dry tropical forest, it is not uncommon to find, face to face, iguanas, coatis, howler monkeys, raccoons, anteaters, and great number of tropical birds.

Nosara and its beaches are located in the Northwest area of Peninsula of Nicoya, on the Pacific Coast of Guanacaste. This region has about 30-40% more sunny days per year than most of the other regions in Costa Rica.

Very easily, they move away from the hotel and explore the surroundings on their own; they can take pictures, uncover the mysterious mangroves of the Nosara River during a canoe or boat trip or, they can just explore this region from the river or riding a horse, organizing a ride along the beaches or the mountain surroundings; moste of the time, these tours become a very special adventure.

Also, you can ride a bike to know near and far areas as well; natural trails are special for mountain bike fans. Those who enjoy the fishing sport find here great opportunities in beaches and rivers; so, sea trips are organized for all those who love fishing.

One of the special attractions during a vacation in Nosara is the so-called "arrivals" of sea turtles to Ostional Beach. On these occasions, thousands of sea turtles stay there 4 to 10 days after fullmoon spawning. These turtles have done this during the months of July through March, for thousands and thousands of years.
