The Place, formerly known as Franck’s Place, is locate din Mal Pais, on the southern end of the Nicoya Peninsula. The hotel is strategically located at the entrance of Mal Pais. The hotel features a great and well known restaurant, serving local specialties, seafood, and international dining.

The hotel is situated at only 200 meters form the beach, specifically Playa Carmen Beach, well know for surfing.

Also, Cabo Blanco is located at only 2 kilometers, and other attractions include Montezuma, Waterfalls and other destinations nearby.

Driving with a car:
Driving from the San Jose Airport to Puntarenas takes approx. 2 hrs. In Puntarenas you board the car ferry to Paquera for a 1 1/2 hour ride across the Gulf of Nicoya. Once in Paquera it is around 50 min to get to Mal Pais.

By Air:
