Location
Hotel El Bambú is located
in the heart of the tropical rain
forest, in the Huetar Norte region
of Costa Rica, only 82 kilometers
(51 miles) from our capital city San
José. This region limits with
the San Juan river to the north and
the Santa Cruz Valley to the west,
to the south with the Barva and Poás
Volcanoes and to the east with the
Caribbean region. The area is recognized
for its lush vegetation boosting the
highest density in the country. The
impressive rain forest descends gradually
until it becomes a valley, much like
a green blanket, surround by small
farming areas. The Sarapiqui river,
which was the only means of communication
for many years and that is born at
the foothills of the Central Mountain
Range, runs throughout 85kms (53miles)
of this magnifiscent landcape.
