This “Full Day Tour” is designed for the strong walks lovers, sport people and adventurers. Pick up from hotels around the Monteverde Area start around 7:00 AM to take them to the starting point (Selvatura Park), the tour is conducted by an experienced guide knowledgeable of the area. The first rest stop will be taken at the Biological Station where you will receive a welcome explanation of the mission, vision and objectives of the Biological Station, here you will be able to use toilets and then continue on with a trek through the forest where you will get to choose between several trails such as “El Saino”, “La Catarata”, “Tabacon” and “El Congo”. Recommend for people 15 years of age or older with good physical conditions.

Night Tour in the afternoon evening

A walk that starts at dusk! Its purpose is experience along with a guide of the life of the forest during the change between day and night, some species will be returning to their homes and others will be actually starting their activity cycle and feeding. Also if the weather favors clients will enjoy of an spectacular sunset that will provide marvelous photographs and will help visitors appreciate the beauty of our area. Day 3: Breakfasts. Tour included.Horseback Riding Tour at Heliconia Ranch

It is a horseback ride inside a private ranch with over 260 acres of extension where beautiful landscapes and forest trails provide a complete horseback riding experience. Breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean as well as and environment full of nature will join you along the way. Additional to this you will get to visit our ranch and meet “Ferdinando” our 1000+ kilogram bull with whom you may take a picture of yourself. At the end of the horseback ride we invite you to enjoy a cup of our fresh coffee, grown and prepared in our community. Afternoon at leisure to visit the town, relax or go and see the Hummingbird Gallery. Overnight in Monteverde.

Day 4: Breakfasts and departure towards Arenal. Check. Overnight in Arenal.

Day 5 :Breakfasts. 2 Tours included. Canoeing Safari in the morning.

This relaxing nature tour begins with a brief instruction in paddling by our experienced guide to ensure your safety and comfort.
Floating downriver by canoe you will enjoy both the slow pace of the river and the peace of the surrounding rainforest.
The brilliant green waters, the numerous brightly coloured birds and a delicious, freshly prepared “river lunch” on an inviting riverbank makes this an unforgettable trip.

Arenal Volcano Tour and Hot Water Springs in the afternoon

Join us on a trail through the rainforest below the Arenal Volcano where you have the possibility of spotting monkeys and a large variety of birds, including toucans and trogons.
We end our walk with a refreshing beverage and a magnificent view of Arenal Volcano, where, with a bit of luck, you can see the flowing lava of Costa Rica’s most active volcano.
This stunning experience is followed by a relaxing soak in the nearby hot springs with pools of various water temperatures.
Departures at:  3:30 p.m.

Day 6: Breakfasts. Deaprture towards Puerto Vejo, the beautiful Caribbean Coastal town.
Puerto Viejo de Limon

Puerto Viejo. This charming coastal village is famous for afro- caribbean culture, beaches, rainforests, surfing and relaxation. The area has a different and interesting culture, more influenced by the Caribbean Islands, including Jamaica. The vegetation here is lush, tropical and dense.

Snorkeling Tour
You will visit the many unique marine and terrestrial ecosystems of Cahuita National Park; its one of the most beautiful regions of the country. Its main attraction is a picture postcard reality of white sandy beaches, thousands of swaying palm trees, a calm sea of crystal-clear water and a live coral reef. In a glass fiber boat, plus Capitan and guide, you will be able to appreciate: 35 different coral species such as: The fire coral, Elkhorn and the Smooth brain coral; 123 different species of tropical fish such as: Queen Angelfish and Blue parrot fish; 44 species of crustaceans, 140 shellfish, 128 identified algae. Other species such as: sea urchins, sea cucumber, lobsters, sponges, hawksbill turtle and green turtle. You can practice the snorkelling for 2 or 3 hours, in different places of the most important Coral Reef of Costa Rica.
After the snorkelling, the boat’s Capitan will take you to Cahuita Point. Right there, if you want, you can swim in the peaceful and warm water of the Caribbean Sea while you take a refreshment of tropical fruits.

Hiking
In this tour there is also the option to enjoy the diversity of the forest on a hike in the Park where you will see many different species of flora and fauna, such as: Howler monkeys, White-faced monkey, Two-and Three-toed sloth, iguanas, spiders, Morpho’s butterflies, birds, snakes and much more. Cahuita has a mixed forest with a lot of different kinds of trees and medicinal plants such as: Noni, the wonder fruit, which prevents 89 different kinds of illnesses.
The guide will make a hike through the trail of the National Park, showing you the animals and the medicinal plants, and telling you the interesting history of Cahuita Town.
At the end the guide will take you to the restaurant “El Típico Cahuita” to enjoy a delicious Caribbean Lunch. “Rice & Beans”, chicken or fish with coconut source, green salad, sweet plantain, dessert and juice.
Necessary Equipment: Hat or cap, sun block, insect repellent, sneakers or sandals, bathing suit, towel, sun glasses and camera.
