Tortuguero, Monteverde and Manuel Antonio

DAY 1 Arrival and meeting at airport. Transfer to you8r hotel in San Jose and overnight. ( There is no chance of getting to Tortuguero on that same day since the tours leave from San Jose at 06:00 A.M. ) Overnight in SAN JOSE.

Day 2: Breakfasts. Morning departure to Tortuguero National Park. On the way, discover banana plantations and other attractions, such as the Braulio Carrillo National Park. Tour through the canals and afternoon arrival in Tortuguero. Overnight in Tortuguero.

Tortuguero National park and Canals. This amazing network of canals is located on the Caribbean Coast. Home to the famous Sea Turtles and it is their most important nesting and hatching ground. Other attractions. The rainforests and the town. Day 3: Breakfasts. Morning departure and tour to the town of Tortuguero. Discover this cozy little town and its inhabitants. Late afternoon at leisure and optional tours. Overnight in Tortuguero.

DAY 4 Departure back to San Jose by plane and ground private transfer to Monteverde. Later afternoon arrival and overnight.

DAY 5 Breakfasts.  TOURS INCLUDED.

Sky Tram

Fly up to the Continental Divide.It’s a high technology cableway that includes a ride of 1600 meters (both ways) with altitudes between 1400 and 1600 m.a.s.l. The Sky Tram will lead you up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains of Monteverde. Sky Tram is a guided tour and you can have the opportunity of intermediate the ride with short stops to observe the cloud forest biodiversity, the Arenal, Tenorio, Miravalles and Orosi volcanoes, the Nicoya gulf, and the Guanacaste plain if the weather allows it. The gondolas have been adapted even for people with some disability.

Sky Walk - Learn in the cloud forest

Sky Walk is a guided tour, which combines trails and suspension bridges with lengths of even 984 feet and heights above the canopy of Monteverde cloud forest. The tour gives you the opportunity to enjoy the flora and fauna of the area, always joined by one of our specialized guides. The tour lasts between 2 and 2.5 hours. Sky Walk reunites all the conditions of security and confidence. The bridges have been adapted even for people with some disability. Departure schedules: 8:00 a.m - 10.00 a.m - 1:00 p.m

Sky Trek

Zip through nature. Sky Trek is a system of zip lines ranging from mountain to mountain, which together have a distance of 2.5 miles of linear cable. The tour gives you the opportunity to fly through a cable and have a unique experience of adventure and adrenaline at speeds up to 40 miles per hour with distances ranging up to 2500 feet and heights of 524 feet. In addition the tour offers 5 observation towers that exceed the cloud forest treetops providing a panoramic view. All with total security and in an innovative braking system.The tour starts with the Sky Tram that will lead you up to the Continental Divide. General conditions:
-For security children under 8 years old cannot take the tour.
-Sky Trek is a complementary tour of Sky Tram it can’t be sold separately.
-People over 100 kilograms weight (217 pounds) most be evaluated by our technical staff (according to his/her height and physical condition) our staff will determine if they can take the tour. Departure schedules: 7:30 a.m - 9.30 a.m - 11:30, 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

DAY 6: Breakfasts. TOURS INCLUDED. Visit to the Biological Station

(strong walk) // MINIMUM OF TWO CLIENTS WITHOUT EXCEPTION
This “Full Day Tour” is designed for the strong walks lovers, sport people and adventurers. Pick up from hotels around the Monteverde Area start around 7:00 AM to take them to the starting point (Selvatura Park), the tour is conducted by an experienced guide knowledgeable of the area. The first rest stop will be taken at the Biological Station where you will receive a welcome explanation of the mission, vision and objectives of the Biological Station, here you will be able to use toilets and then continue on with a trek through the forest where you will get to choose between several trails such as “El Saino”, “La Catarata”, “Tabacon” and “El Congo”.
Recommend for people 15 years of age or older with good physical conditions.

Night Tour

A walk that starts at dusk! Its purpose is experience along with a guide of the life of the forest during the change between day and night, some species will be returning to their homes and others will be actually starting their activity cycle and feeding. Also if the weather favors clients will enjoy of an spectacular sunset that will provide marvelous photographs and will help visitors appreciate the beauty of our area. Tour duration approx. 2 hours // Children under 5 go for free.
Tour time: 5:30 PM.

DAY 7: Breakfasts and departure to Manuel Antonio.

Manuel Antonio. Located near Quepos, the small but beautiful rainforest national park and its secluded little beaches are the second most visited highlight in the country. Beautiful beaches, rainforests and fun adventures. Afternoon arrival and overnight.

Description
Transportation provided by the tour operator will pick you up at your hotel from where you will start your ride to Manuel Antonio National Park.  This national park is one of the most famous in our country due to its wide variety of flora and fauna specimens.  The park itself boasts 3 different trails that vary in grade from flat to very steep.  On this Manuel Antonio tour you will be accompanied by a nature guide who is knowledgeable about everything you will see.  The trail you will take is flat and picturesque and loops through the park making your course approximately 2 miles long.  Throughout the hike your guide will stop and explain the different nature specimens that can be observed, you can take photographs or just admire the view.  One of the highlights of this Manuel Antonio tour is that the park is home to 3 of the 4 existing monkey species in Costa Rica.  Half way through the hike you will make a leisure stop at the third beach located within the national park.  You will have approximately 20 minutes to rest on the beach or play among the waves if you so choose.  Throughout the hike you will be able to observe sloths, birds and reptiles as well as admire orchids, butterflies and tropical trees.  The guides that accompany you on this Manuel Antonio Trip are equipped with Pentax and Suvaroski telescopes that you can use to observe wildlife and take pictures with a different perspective. Upon finishing the tour you will be provided with transportation back to your hotel.  The park is closed on Mondays
