Puerto Jimenez is a smaller coastal fishing village and now also tourist center located within the Golfo Dulce, on the Osa Peninsula. This town used to be a small fishing community, but is now considered the main ecotourism center for the southern part of the Osa Peninsula, including areas such as Carate, Rincon, Matapalo and the southern entrance to Corcovado National Park. In the area, the tourist can find hotels, transportation and tour options as well as local restaurants, Sodas and bars. The town is not particularly charming, but has a certain adventurer atmosphere that is to the liking of many of your clients. From Jimenez, you can visit both entrances to Corcovado National park and enjoy local beaches too.
As one Example, Lapa Rios is a high end luxury rainforest lodge, with an amazing ocean view and vies of the surrounding tropical forests. Lapa Rios comes with a large swimming pool, great dining, bar, and independent thatched roof bungalows ideal for Honeymooners or nature lovers alike.
