Wellness vacations to Costa Rica

Costa Rica has also become a popular tourists destination for people looking for some sort of healing or wellness travel destination. Costa Rica currently offers many Yoga retreats, distributed throughout the country. Relaxation, ho9llisitc therapies, meditation and other sort of wellbeing activities are quite abundant too, especially along the coastal areas. Other wellness and health attractions include first class Spas, saunas, massages and all sorts of beauty and wellness treatments. The famous mud baths and mud masks with volcanic sand and mud are especially popular. These are found in the areas around Arenal and Rincon de la Vieja Volcanoes. Many hotels also have their own Yoga Decks, and spas with quiet meditation areas are also existent.

DAY 1:

Arrival in San Jose. Meeting at the airport and transfer to Martino resort and Spa in the outskirts of Alajuela. Check in. Eve package included. 2 hours of Thai Shower, Steam Room, Salt Glow Exfoliation, Herbal Wrap, 60-minute Relaxation Massage and a Costa Rican facial. Overnight at Martino Resort and Spa.

DAY 2:

Breakfasts. Departure in a private mini van towards Arenal. Check in at Arenal Springs Resort, Spa and Hot Water Springs. Enjoy the hot mineral waters and steam baths sounded by lush tropical vegetation. Overnight.

DAY 3/4:

The Springs. The fourteen thousand square foot full service Spa encompasses one entire level of our reception building and reflects our serious commitment to provide a complete treatment experience to replenish your mind, body and soul. Massages, facials, body wraps, manicures and pedicures are offered in a luxurious and holistic setting administered by trained professionals with the latest technology. Our treatment menu utilizes tropical botanical ingredients indigenous to the country as well as a variety of lab-tested, therapeutic volcanic clays harvested on the property near the hot springs. Please ask about unique treatments including the “floating water massage” offered in the mineral springs. For our guests who enjoy staying in shape while on vacation we offer a comprehensive collection of the latest technology cardiovascular and strength equipment. To enhance your workout experience the cardio room features an inspirational view of the volcano and surrounding valley. The Spa facilities include a common lobby with spectacular views where both male and female guests can enjoy lunch or a relaxing break together between treatments as well as separate Ladies’ and Men’s relaxation areas for added privacy between treatments.Of course, the locker rooms are equipped with steam and sauna rooms as well as private shower and changing accommodations.

DAY 5:

After breakfasts, departure by land or air to hotel Punta Islita, in the center section of the Nicoya Peninsula. Arrival. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Punta Islita. Punta Islita features Casa Spa, offering unique treatments and products, including local herbs and medicinal substances. Embedded in lush tropical gardens, the world-class Casa Spa is home to pampered wellness. Punta Islita Ritual Massage An energy-balancing experience that borrows from ancient indigenous rites and Costa Rica’s rural traditions. Uses heated river stones, an oil infused herbal compress ball, Guaro Cacique (Costa Rican sugar cane spirits), and crystals to balance body chakras.

DAY 6/7:

Punta Islita al leisure.

DAY 8:

Breakfasts. Morning domestic airline transfer back to San Jose. Transfer to Juan SantaMaria International Airport and departure.
