Manuel Antonio National Park

Transportation provided by the tour operator will pick you up at your hotel from where you will start your ride to Manuel Antonio National Park.  This national park is one of the most famous in our country due to its wide variety of flora and fauna specimens.  The park itself boasts 3 different trails that vary in grade from flat to very steep.  On this Manuel Antonio tour you will be accompanied by a nature guide who is knowledgeable about everything you will see.  The trail you will take is flat and picturesque and loops through the park making your course approximately 2 miles long.  Throughout the hike your guide will stop and explain the different nature specimens that can be observed, you can take photographs or just admire the view.  One of the highlights of this Manuel Antonio tour is that the park is home to 3 of the 4 existing monkey species in Costa Rica.  Half way through the hike you will make a leisure stop at the third beach located within the national park.  You will have approximately 20 minutes to rest on the beach or play among the waves if you so choose.  Throughout the hike you will be able to observe sloths, birds and reptiles as well as admire orchids, butterflies and tropical trees.  The guides that accompany you on this Manuel Antonio Trip are equipped with Pentax and Suvaroski telescopes that you can use to observe wildlife and take pictures with a different perspective. The tour operator will provide transportation that will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the property where you will commence your Manuel Antonio tour.  During the 40 minute drive to Londres where the tour starts your guide will give you a run down on the history of Quepos.  Once you reach Londres you will set foot on a picturesque property that has bathrooms, stables, a corral and a open air waiting area.  You will receive riding instruction, safety tips and practice time, before heading out to explore the rainforest.  This Manuel Antonio tour allows you to uncover the exotic secrets that lie within this secondary rainforest.  The maximum altitude in this area is 600 meters.  You will ride through the mountains without reaching the mountain top.  Your horse ride lasts approximately 2 and a half hours roundtrip and it will be highlighted by views of the valley, verdant vegetation and numerous wildlife species such as birds and reptiles.  At the end of the trail there is a beautiful waterfall where you will be able to rest for about 30 minutes.  You can lounge on the grass or take a swim.  You will then return retracing the same route.  At the end of your Manuel Antonio tour you will be served a delicious lunch made with local ingredients.  Enjoy a little conversation before heading back to your hotel.  This Manuel Antonio tour does not require previous experience.  Children riding alone must be at least 6 years old.  Maximum weight for riders is 235lbs.

Your tour operator will provide transportation that will pick you up from your hotel and drive through Quepos while your guide gives you an explanation regarding the town’s history.  You will arrive in a town called Londres at a property that used to be a pig farm but now houses stables, ATVs, a practice arena, bathrooms and an open air waiting area.  This Manuel Antonio tour is ideal for those seeking adventure mixed with nature.  Before taking off to conquer the mountains you will receive a safety talk and take a few practice runs in the arena.  You will ride through the mountain without reaching the mountaintop, taking occasional stops to interact with each other and rest.  Throughout your journey you will be able to spot birds, dense vegetation and other impressive examples of nature.  The end of the trail is marked by a stunning waterfall where you will dismount, hike approximately 300m and enjoy a 30 minute pit stop to take a swim or just kick back and admire the view.  This is the perfect opportunity to snap a few unique photographs of the area.  Surrounded by secondary rainforest vegetation you will retrace your route until returning to the point where you began the tour.  Back at base camp a tasty lunch has been prepared with the freshest ingredients and is waiting for you and your appetite.  This Manuel Antonio tour is an exhilarating adventure, so prepare to get dirty!  Participants must be at least 16 years old to drive.  Kids are not allowed to ride with adults.

Transportation provided by your tour operator will pick you up from your hotel and drive approximately 1 hour to the canopy facilities located in the stunning Paso Real rainforest.  The facilities at this site boast a restaurant, nature trails, butterfly garden, snake exhibit and canopy platforms.  Your guide will give you a talk about how to run the course and provide you with a few safety measures.  You will then be suited up with canopy gear and safety equipment.  During your journey the guide will point out and explain the different wildlife found among the layers of virgin and secondary rainforest vegetation.  The canopy course consists of 18 platforms, 10 zip lines, 2 rappel lines, a suspension bridge and a Tarzan swing.  You will see many flora and fauna specimens including dart frogs, toucans and titi monkeys.  There is no shortage of adrenaline on this Manuel Antonio tour.  After an exhilarating ride over the leafy treetops you will disengage from your harness and head off to view the butterfly garden.  From caterpillars to pupas to full grown butterflies, you can admire their transformation and variety.  Then you can explore the snake exhibit where 9 different species are featured in enormous glass cages.  After all of the excitement you will head to the on-site restaurant to enjoy some refreshing snacks and a delicious lunch.  Individuals must be at least 6 years old to participate in this tour.  Due to the harnesses used on this tour, participants cannot exceed a 48 inch waistline.

Transportation provided by the tour operator will pick you up from your hotel and drive 1 hour and 20 minutes to the Savegre River put in.  The road trip to the rafting site offers picturesque views of African palm plantations, little towns, small rivers and jungle vegetation.  Your guide will gladly tell you all about the thing you see along the way.  Occasional stops with be made for bathroom breaks or to take photographs.  Upon arriving at the put in you will receive a safety talk and an opportunity to practice before getting into the river.  The rafts in this Manuel Antonio tour are built for 6 passengers and guides will travel in kayaks alongside you to ensure your safety.  Savegre River boasts class 3 rapids and is filled with bends and turns of excitement.  You will spend approximately 2 ½ hours in the raft taming the rapids, taking occasional pit stops to rest and admire some of the region’s beautiful flora and fauna.  Towards the end of this Manuel Antonio tour, the river waters become calm and easy, allowing you to take a closer look at birds flying overhead and colorful vegetation adorning the shoreline.  Your drive back to base camp will be much shorter, you will arrive in about 30 minutes where you can change your clothes and savor a delicious homemade meal.  Upon completing this Manuel Antonio tour transportation back to your hotel will be provided.  This river boasts class 3 rapids all year long, during dry season it also boasts some class 2 rapids.  Participants must be at least 8 years old.

Transportation provided by your tour operator will pick you up from your hotel and drive 40 minutes to Londres where the river put in is located.  During the scenic drive your guide will explain some of the history of the town of Quepos.  Upon reaching the private property where the put in is located you will be ready to start off on your Manuel Antonio tour.  This property features stables, corrals, ATVs, an open air waiting area and bathrooms.  You guide will give you some safety measurements to follow and then you are off to tame the rapids of Naranjo River.  The rafts are built to hold a maximum of 6 passengers.  Guides will accompany you down stream in kayaks to ensure your safety.  Naranjo River flows through mountains, jungle gorges, farmlands and palm plantations.  The river’s course is steep and challenging, perfect for adventure seekers in search of an adrenaline rush.  Halfway through the course you can take advantage of the pit stop to catch your breath and admire the view.  Towards the end of the river, the waters calm down and you can take in the sights while cruising over the last few rapids.  Upon completing the 1 hour and 45 minute portion of this Manuel Antonio tour you will be served a tasty lunch made with fresh local ingredients.  Transportation back to your hotel will be provided by your tour operator.  This Manuel Antonio tour is only available in rainy season (May to December).  This river boasts class 3 rapids all year long, during rainy season it also boasts some class 4 rapids.  Participants must be at least 8 years old.

Transportation will be provided by your tour operator to pick you up from your hotel.  You will travel approximately 20 minutes to the Quepos dock.  A guide will take you to the loading platform and help you board the catamaran.  You will set sail towards the horizon and cruise over sapphire hued waves.  The catamaran will chart a picturesque course departing from Quepos gliding around the back of Manuel Antonio national park.  Your guide will point out notable wildlife and vegetation specimens, so be sure to have your camera ready.  You will pass by panoramas adorned with islands, cliffs and rock formations.  You can admire aviary nesting grounds and marine wildlife.  Beverages and snacks are available onboard the catamaran throughout the trip.  After touring the coastline, your captain will set anchor on Bisanz beach where you can take advantage of the pit stop to snorkel at this secluded bay.  You are most likely to spot parrotfish, starfish, angelfish and if you are lucky a dolphin!  During your chartered course you will be able to savor a tasty barbeque lunch onboard the catamaran while admiring the lovely waterscapes. Description

This Manuel Antonio tour is perfect if you just want to get out and have some fun.  Transportation provided by your tour operator will pick you up from your hotel.  You will travel to the Quepos dock where the Jet Ski platform is located.  Place all of your belongings in the lockers provided to you for safekeeping.  Your guide will give you a safety talk and you will get a chance to try a few practice runs on Yamaha Wave runners.  The Jet Skis are low emission machines in efforts to preserve the environment and each one of them has a dry compartment where you can store small items such as a camera.  This 2 hour excursion will chart a course where you can see 3 different islands and spot birds flying overhead.  During your Jet Ski tour you will make a 30 minute stop at Bisanz beach where you can snorkel and try to find schools of parrotfish or angelfish and starfish.  Water visibility varies depending on the season.  This Manuel Antonio tour provides you with snacks and beverages.  When you return to the Jet Ski platform there will be transportation waiting to return you to your hotel.  This Manuel Antonio tour does not require previous experience.
