Volunteer and research program
 
Our educational programs and packages hav been designed to follow investigation research lines that have been developed by INBio, The National Institute of Biodiversity and that are under the supervision of the entomologist and parataxonomists on site.
So it is very important to consider that the volunteer work involved in these packages is a contribution to the generation of knowledge of our biodiversity.
Accommodations: Our hostel has 5 big rooms with bunk beds to hold up to 8
people per room, there are separate men and women bathrooms.
Meals: We serve home style meals, which includes rice, beans, vegetable, sweet
plantain salad and natural juice drinks
3 DAYS/ 2 NIGHTS VOLUNTEER PACKAGE
 
DAY 1.
Arrival o Veragua, check in and walk thru and guided Veragua Full Tour.
Your tour includes interactive live exhibits of snakes, butterflies and the world´s largest nocturnal frog exhibit, walking trails, an aerial tram ride through the rainforest canopy, a spectacular waterfall, and Costa Rica´s National Institute of Biodiversity´s (INBio) biological station, where you can see researchers discovering new species.
Lunch.
Frog Exhibit: Feeding, seed and plants planting,
cleaning terrariums.
Day 2.
Butterfly Garden
Maintenance activities including: Egg recollection, cleaning of the butterfly garden and pupa boxes, seed ad plants planting among others.
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Day 3: Insect recollection and labs activities
Today different activities are set up during the day including insect recollection in the trails and around the lab 8:00 – 12:00 p.m.

Note: Suggested activities included on this package description, may vary depending on the
time of the year. Volunteer activities are develop to provide support to the scientist on site,
the maintenance of the park green areas and he community around the park’s surroundings
