Day 1: Arrival and transfer in (Airport - Hotel in San José). Meetings and assistance at your hotel before check - in. Overnight in San Jose.

Day 2: Early departure by land and boat to Tortuguero National Park through Braulio Carrillo National Park. All meals (B,L,D), visit to banana plantation & canal tour are included. Overnight Lodge in Tortuguero. See birds of Tortuguero

Day 3: Spend this day at Tortuguero. Visits to Tortuguero town, Turtle Museum, Morning Canal Tour, Hiking tours and all meals (D,L,D) are included. Overnight Lodge in Tortuguero.

Day 4: Breakfasts. Transfer trough the canals back to mainland and transfer to Selva Verde Lodge, located in Sarapiqui, also part of the Caribbean Lowlands and Paradise for bird observation. Afternoon arrivalk and check in. Afternoon at leisure and evening at leisure for optional walks through the trails. Overnight in Selva Verde.

Day 5: Morning breakfasts and Birding Tour through the trails of Selva Verde. Selva verde and Sarapiqui is an important region for the survival of the Green Macaw, which inhabits this region. Learn about the local species guided by a native trail an naturalist guide. Afternoon at leisre. Overnight in Selva Verde. Birds of Sarapiqui

Day 6: Breakfasts. Take another look at the area and departure to San Gerardo de Dota, located deep in the cloud forests of Cerro de la Muerte part of the western Talamanca Mountain Range. Arival, check in and afternoon at leisure for optional activities which include the self guided trails trough the property ( more than 400 hectares ). Overnight in Savegre Hotel. Day 7: Breakfasts. Today we start our main Birding Tour. Our main attraction is the Paradise Bird or Quetzal. This area of more than 60.000 hecaters and now part of Los Quetzals National Park is one of the largest unexplored rain and cloud forest regions in Costa Rica. Overnight in Savegre.

Day 8: After breakfats, we start our journeys heading south along the Pan American Highway untill almost reaching the Panama border. Our destination: Piedras Blancas National Park and Esquinas Rainforest Lodge. One the way, we will se pineapple plantations, the beautiful Terraba River and if weather allows it, we might even see the La Amistad National Park and Talamanca Mountain Range. Afternoon arrival. Optional activities are available such as self guided trails, bird observation from the rooms and other. Overnight Esquinas Rainforest Lodge.

Day 9: Birding Tour ! You can hike through this untouched paradise alone or with a local guide, on more than ten miles of well maintained foot trails within the limits of Piedras Blancas National Park. Trails are steep at places and can be muddy after heavy rains. Resident biologists are on hand during high season. Hikes last from 30 minutes up to 4 hours. The shorter walks lead through secondary-growth rainforest, the longer and more challenging hikes lead into virgin primary forest. Like everywhere else, wild animals tend to be elusive, but there is always a chance of encountering monkeys, coatis, pacas, or even wildcats. Although the trails are open to the general public, they are rarely used by anyone other than the guests of Esquinas Rainforest Lodge. Overnight Esquinas Rainforest Lodge. Birds of Esquinas

Day 10: Breakfasts and early morning departure to Dominical Beach. Arrival and afternoon at leisure for optional activities or relax on the beach, by the pool, or reading a great book in your room. Overnight in Dominical.

Day 11: Breakfasts and day at leisure. Today you can either stay on the beach, or go on a short one day tour like visiting Los Cusingos where Alexander Skutch spent lots of time See book ( Birds of Costa Rica ). Overnight in Dominical.

Day 12: Breakfasts. Return back to the central Pacific along the Coastal Highway towards the Carara National Park. . Check In in Villa Lapas. Overnight Villa Lapas.

Day 13: Carara National Park. Find not only the artificial nests of the Red Macaws but see them in their true habitata among many other birds.

Day 14: Hotel breakfast, free morning to enjoy hotel facilities and during the afternoon shuttle trasnportation to San José. Overnight Hotel in San José.

Day 15: Hotel breakfast and transfer - out to the International Airport.
