Who is Robert
Puschendorf
March 2006
I am living in the town of Townsville,
in the state or Queensland, in the Northeast Coast
of Australia. It is a very pretty town on the
ocean. People are very friendly and highly educated.
The University I am attending is called James
Cook University, where I am working for the School
of Tropical Biology. The climate is dry, similar
to the province of Guanacaste in Costa Rica. However,
Australia has some Rainforest to the North. Also,
there is more humidity in the hills and mountains.
There is a long mountain range that borders the
ocean from North to South. We are probably going
there on a field trip next week.

Townsville
- Amazing view of the town

Interesting
Geological Formations
I am anxious to explore the interior
of this great country. We are probably going on
a field trip next week, if it does not rain too
much (Weather permitting)

Different
and interesting species of fauna
The fauna of course is very different
than the one in Central America. I am very interested
in snakes too, and I know Australia has some of
the most incredible snake species on earth.
March 19
Yesterday we had a sever storm.
It was raining horizontally. It was something
I have never seen before. They said it was the
worst storm this area had in over 20 years. i
had to stay in my house for many hours until it
was over.
