| Restaurants:
Sitting on a cliff and surrounded by the ocean on 3
sides, Ocotal's main restaurant, "La Brisa",
is regarded as one of Costa Rica's most picturesque
spots. Serve from an international menu specializing
in fresh seafood.
At a walking
distance, right on the ocean's edge warm sand, you will
find the famous "Father Rooster Bar & Grill",
an old house turned into a bar where tourists and residents
from Ocotal meet. Very busy place during the high season.
Excellent food, great music and dancing.
The "Caracol
snack bar" is located near the dive shop and the
new wet bar swimming pool, where cocktails, snacks and
fast food are served. Only two miles away is Playas
del Coco, a small fishing and tourist village, were
you could find all kind of restaurants and bars. A couple
of discotheques will let you feel the local flavor.
Playa
Ocotal is a calm and sandy beach, about 1/3
mile in length and ideal for swimming, snorkeling and
other related activities. This is the perfect place
to just relax and enjoy the quiet easy going peace of
this isolated area.
Location:
A 5 minutes drive will take you to Playas del Coco;
a small fishing and tourist village where you can find
supermarkets, bank, pharmacy, restaurants, stores, bars
and nightlife. Liberia's International Airport is just
25 minutes away. It is strategically located for a variety
of one day and half day tours.
