Costa Rica trekking
Trekking is a niche activity that has been growing increasingly over the mast two years. We have had clients from all over the world for whom we have operated the most important trekking routes in Costa Rica. One of the most popular is the hike to the peak of Chirripo, Costa Rica`s highest mountain. Another yet beautiful trekking adventure is crossing Los Quetzales Nartional park from San Gerardo de Dota all the way down to Quepos ( 3 days ). A similar trekking trip is the one that starts in Monteverde and ends in the region around Arenal and La Fortuna or in Pocosol de San Carlos ( 3 days ) One of the best adventures I definitely crossing Corcovado National Park, either from Los Patos Ranger Station to Sirena, or from Sirena to La Leona. 10 years ago, there was an even longer route, from Sirena to San Pedrillo, crossing Llorona, but is has been forbidden due to higher risk and danger. Shorter trips include La Cangreja National Park ( 12 kilometers ), which is a pretty strenuous hike because of the steep slopes and canyons one has to cross.
