Arenal - La Fortuna

A region of abundant adventure and ecotourism. Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna. The Arenal Volcano is one of the world’s most active volcanoes. It attracts thousands of visitors every year. Combined with the amazing views, the Lake of Arenal, the many hot springs and other adventure facilities in the area, the area is the most visited tourist region.


Cahuita. Cahuita is very similar to Puerto Viejo, however, it is smaller, and during the years has maintained a more quiet and local atmosphere, not su influenced by tourism. It is famous for its incredible beach, the coral reef and the Cahuita National Park. Caño Negro

An incredible birding destionation, less touristy than other areas. Caño Negro is quite off the beaten path, but worth the effort. Most visits start out at Los Chiles where you board a boat and glide up the Río Frío through canyons of green towards the everglade like Lago Caño Negro. Migration plays a big role in the population of the waterways; you may see a bull shark's fin slice the surface;


This beach is situaed South of Samara , in the heart of the Nicoya Peninsula. Carrillo beach is a beautiful tropical beach located in the Nicoya Peninsula, in the province of Guanacaste.

Drake Bay

Osa Peninsula

A nature highlight ! Carate de Osa is the last town in the Osa Peninsula. Carate is the gateway for Corcovado National Park, the southern entrance ( La Leona ) Carate is located on the ocean, surrounded by tropical rainforest and only a few houses and smaller hotels.


Papagayo is a popular beach destination in Guanacaste. Papagayo, or Golfo de Papagayo, Bahia Culebra, is a large Bay with around 15 beaches situated within its borders. The water in this area is very calm, ideal for snorkeling, bathing, swimming or other forms of water sports.

Puerto Viejo

San Gerardo de Dota

San Jose

San Jose city is the capital of Costa Rica. San Jose is the largest city in Costa Rica Although San Jose has not a lot to offer the visitor, in recent years, it has gone through a revamping process, rescueing the few downtown historic areas.

Santa Teresa

Santa Teresa is one of the best known surfing beach areas in the country. It is situated North of Mal Pais, along the southernmost coasts of the Nicoya Peninsula. Several hotels, restaurants, surf shops, bars are located paralell to the beach.


Sarapiqui is a great area for birding. Surrounded by the high cloud forests of Braulio Carrillo, the slopes of Irazu and Turrialba Vocano and the lowlands from Barra del Colorado, Tortuguero and the descending ridges of Talamanca, this areas is home to hundreds of species.


Tamarindo is one of Guanacaste’s most popular beach destinations. Surrounded by the Marine Park Las Baulas,famous for sea turtles, Tamarindo offers great surfing, ecotourism and other activities. The hotel options in the area are overwhelming.


Tambor is one of the safest beaches in Costa Rica. It is a large bay, ideal for bathing, relaxing or family vacations. It is situated near Tortuga Island, Cabo Blanco, Montezuma and Mal Pais.

Tenorio Volcano - Rio Celeste

The Tenorio Volcano is part of the Guanacaste Volcanic Mountain Range, which includes Rincon de la Vieja, Tenorio, Orosi and Miravalles. It is protected under the National Park law, and its rainforests are inhabited by hundreds of species of animals and plants.
