Sea turtles

Costa Rica`s Coasts are famous worldwide for sea turtle nesting. Sea turtles of many species, including Green, Leatherback, Hawksbill, Loggerhead and Olive Ridley Sea Turtles come ashore during different months of the year. Tortuguero National Park on the Caribbean side, as well as Gandoca and Barra del Colorado, and Ostional, Nancite, playa Grande and Osa Peninsula are especially popular among sea turtles for some reasons. The spectacle of nesting and hatching attractions thousands of scientists and tourists alike from all over the world.
